Yes, the holiday season is upon us. If you have gone shopping lately, you have seen Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas items all being sold at the same time. As soon as Halloween was over, the sales area was downsized to one isle and marked for clearance. I don’t celebrate Halloween, but I did go to my grandson’s school for their Harvest Festival. My daughter got my little granddaughter (about 1 ½ years old) a Cinderella dress that was drastically reduced. That little girl loves to “dress up” in silky clothes.
Thanksgiving is just a little more than a week away. In preparation, I am to print 2 weeks worth of bulletins for Sunday church services. A lot of people will be taking vacation days and holiday days next week, including me. I am looking forward to, and anticipating, something to break in my life, that will allow me more time to be on the road with POG.
Are you thankful for the provision that you have? Now, your provision may be in abundance, or it may be meager, but the provision is there. Thank God for that.
I have a friend in Heaven’s Saints that just got laid off from his job, and is not due to go back to work till February. He remains upbeat and faithful to God, much like Abraham when he was to make a sacrifice of his son, and God’s provision came through for him with a Ram in the bushes. I too believe for provision for my friend Robert at this time. I don’t feel that I will be disappointed. I am anticipating money to come to him to pay his rent, utilities, and be able to provide for his family, and still be an effective witness. Robert is president of the Enterprise Alabama Chapter of Heavens Saints MM. God bless you Robert for all you do for his Kingdom! Agree with me that Rev. Robert’s needs will be met. Keep him in your prayers. We exchange prayer needs often, but they are usually for other people. Check him out: www.ourchurch.com/member/a/A_Healing_Ride Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/#/robert.happoldt?ref=ts
I got this YouTube video from a friend at work. Thanks Dody. She passed it along to me because it had motorcycles in a part of it, and it also strikes a nerve. No matter what they call the holiday on December 25, it is still Christmas to me and many others, and it always will be. Check the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAckfn8yiAQ . It is called Christmas with a capital “C.”
My education, my training, my job, my transportation, etc, all were a provision of God. He directed my paths in education, to apply for the jobs I have had, and led me down the path to the vehicles I have. Now there are a lot of other things in my life to be thankful for, too many to list. My prayer is that I will use the provision He has given me to do the things that He wants me to do.
Thank you Jesus for paying the ultimate warrior’s price to save me. You gave your life. You were tortured beyond my comprehension, and yet you did it all for me. I want to be in the right places and doing the right things for you to show my appreciation.
If you don’t have a relationship like this with Jesus, just say a simple prayer like “Jesus, I have heard that you know all about me, but I am only just discovering You. I want to know more about You and I want You in my life Open my spiritual eyes and ears to your presence and your voice, and come into my life. I too want the salvation and peace that I have heard others speak of. Make me yours right now. Forgive me for my sins and make me a witness for you.” You don’t have to pray this exact prayer, but ask Jesus into your heart. Find a brother to pray with you and agree with you in a new walk of faith. Find a local church or a motorcycle ministry that can help to take you from milk to meat in your faith walk.
The 4th verse to the Star Spangled Banner…
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Thought you might enjoy a little history and literature at the same time.
